Submission for the Cheltenham Illustration Competition

This entry was mainly produced to show off the extensive range of paper I seem to be habouring in my cupboard.  And to also accurately portray space travel of yore.

Volunteering

I have spent the last far too many months volunteering at Orange St making pots, part of which go to care homes to be decorated and the others that go on sale at fairs to raise more funds to buy more clay to keep the project going.

The only problem with volunteering is the complete lack of money, so now all my clothes and shoes especially are ruined and I have no financial way of rectifying the situation. I got desperate the other day and tried a combination of lemons, white wine vinegar and bicarb of soda. Needless to say it did not work and I am down two lemons.

Doodle Complete

The main part of the design is complete, now just have to do a bit of chopping up and colour arrangement...

Lomography Competition

My brother sent me a link to the Urban Outfitters 'Design a Fisheye' competition. So am beginning to start doodling. Urban Outfitters seems like a doodling sort of place.

Plant Cells Come to Life

This is what happens when there is no full time job to have to attend to. Solace is sought through felt. And ridiculously small hand stitching.

Autumn Exhibition

I am currently trying to sort out what I shall be displaying in the October exhibition in London with over thirty other artists. My main concern at the moment is making something that can be transported easily and without drawing too much attention to myself on the train....
This is a show that will feature most of the Fine Artists I graduated with last year at the Rag Factory.
So far I am thinking a series of photographs with some small objects to accompany them.  I just need to get my hands on a large amount of cardboard. Fast.

Some Degree Show Photographs

I just discovered these photos on someone's flickr of some snapshots from my degree show installation. It's weird to think of your work floating around the internet without your knowledge. And also quite nice.

Card Designing Competition

I have just discovered a competition on twitter with the title 'All I Want For Christmas' which aims to raise funds for Young Bristol.  Everyone who can should submit a design as the money raised from both the auction and card packs that will be produced go to help those in need.

Now all I need is a card design.

The Bemusing Triangles First Get Together

These are just a few of the many photos taken from a collaborative piece I created with Beth Boorman and Tara yates. A ridiculous ammount of black tape was used to cover three quarters of the space, not to mention the boxes.
